The purpose of this body central government is to promote export & development of schedule products, to achieve this objective various functions has been assigned by the central government to this body. The central Government is controlling authority of this body. The authority will take care of the direction given and needs to checks that the implementation is done in the right direction or not?? This Act is an additional provision and is not a relaxation of provision of any other law enforceable for the time being.

The APEDA has launched the Hortinet app for providing internet based electronic services to the stakeholders for facilitating farm registration, testing and certification of Grape, Pomegranate and Vegetables for export from India to the European Union in compliance with standards.

Documents Required

1. Application form duly filled and signed by authorized signatory.

2. Self certified copy of Import-Export code issued by D.G.F.T.

3. List of Directors/Partners/Proprietor on company’s letterhead in triplicate.

4. Copy of partnership deed attested by notary of Pvt. Ltd./Public Ltd. Co.’s/societies should forward a copy of their Memorandum and Article of Association and Partnership firms.

5. Self certified copy of PAN issued by Income Tax Department.

6. The company should compulsorily mention their e-mail ID, phone and fax number.

7. In case the exporter desires to register as Manufacturer Exporter, he should furnish the copy of company’s registration with FFO, Directorate of Industries, State Dept. of Horticulture/Agmark/EIA etc.

8. Bank certificate duly signed by the Authorities.

The Agricultural and Processed Food products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is an export promotion organization under Ministry of Commerce & Industries, Government of India. It is mandated with the responsibility of promotion and development of the export of its scheduled products.

Who are merchant exporters?

The Exporters who do not have their Manufacturing/Processing /Growing facility and source the product from others and exports.

Who are manufacturer exporters?

Manufacturer exporters are those exporters who manufacture the product in their processing unit and then export.

Benefits of APEDA Registration

It’s a mandatory registration by the exporters of scheduled products.

It enables the registered exporter to apply for financial assistance schemes of APEDA.

The Authority (APEDA) has launched the Hortinet app for providing internet based electronic services to the stakeholders for facilitating farm registration, testing and certification of Grape, Pomegranate and Vegetables for export from India to the European Union in compliance with standards.

To harness the potential of mobile technology, APEDA has developed a mobile app to allow farmers to apply on-line to facilitate their farm registration, tracking the status of application & approvals by State Government and Lab sampling by authorized Laboratories.

This mobile app initiative is expected to increase the accessibility and reach of the Traceability software system among the farmers and other stakeholders.

This new mobile app will also assist State Horticulture/ Agriculture Department to capture real time details of farmers, farm location, products and details of inspections like date of inspection, name of inspecting directly from field. After registration and approval of farm, farmer will get approval information.
